Description

Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it's surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak. 

Kumarakom is a village on Vembanad Lake in the backwaters of Kerala, southern India. It’s laced with canals, where houseboats ply the waters. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is home to many species including cuckoos and Siberian storks. Nearby, the Bay Island Driftwood Museum displays wooden sculptures. In the lake, Pathiramanal Island is a haven for rare migratory birds. Ancient Thazhathangady Mosque is east of Kumarakom.

Day 1 Coimbatore Arrival - Munnar (190 Kms / 06 Hrs Drive)

Arrive at Coimbatore airport / railway station and drive to Munnar (190 Kms / 06 Hrs). En rote enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous Lakkom Seasonal waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. The drive up the winding roads and hair pin bends will be nothing short of exciting. Also, visit the Marayoor sandal wood forest. Eravikulam national park (Rajamalai) were the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", can be spotted.  Upon arrival check into the hotel. Evening leisure. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2 Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Rose Garden, Photo Point, Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake, Echo point and Top station. Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.

Day 3 Munnar - Kumarakom

After Breakfast and move forwards to Kumarakom, you will be taken to local Sight seeing in by road. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is the favorite hotspot for migratory birds like Siberian Crane and Wood Beetle. Later, return to the hotel for an appetizing breakfast. Then, freshen up and gear up for trekking to the Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls. It is an easy trek, and there is a church at the top of the falls. Aruvikkuzhi. You can make the most of your short escape to Kumarakom by flocking to Island Driftwood Museum to marvel at the mindblowing intricate woodwork. If time permits, make sure you visit several temples and churches, including Vaikom Mahadeva Temple and St Mary’s Church.

Before the sunset, return to your hotel and savor mouthwatering dinner and then retire for the overnight sleep.

Day 4 Kumarakom

Post a healthy breakfast,  After that, you are free to spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.We urge you to go outside for shopping therapy.
