Description

Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in India’s Kerala state. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it's surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Eravikulam National Park, a habitat for the endangered mountain goat Nilgiri tahr, is home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak. 

Thekkady is a town near Periyar National Park, an important tourist attraction in the Kerala state of India. The name Thekkady is derived from the word "thekku" which means teak. Temperatures are lowest in the months of December–January and highest in the months of April–May.

Alappuzha (or Alleppey) is a city on the Laccadive Sea in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It's best known for houseboat cruises along the rustic Kerala backwaters, a network of tranquil canals and lagoons. Alappuzha Beach is the site of the 19th-century Alappuzha Lighthouse. The city's Mullakkal Temple features a traditional design. Punnamada Lake's snake boat races are a well-known annual event.

Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern Indian state of Kerala, south of Thiruvananthapuram. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach. Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the busy fishing harbor. Inland, Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium displays technology used in pearl production.

Day 1 Coimbatore Arrival - Munnar (190 Kms / 06 Hrs Drive)

Arrive at Coimbatore airport / railway station and drive to Munnar (190 Kms / 06 Hrs). En rote enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous Lakkom Seasonal waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. The drive up the winding roads and hair pin bends will be nothing short of exciting. Also, visit the Marayoor sandal wood forest. Eravikulam national park (Rajamalai) were the rarest species of mountain goat, "Nilgiri Thars", can be spotted.  Upon arrival check into the hotel. Evening leisure. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2 Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Rose Garden, Photo Point, Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake, Echo point and Top station. Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.

Day 3 Munnar - Periyar (Thekkady)

After break fast travel towards to Periyar National Park  through beautiful tea gardens, waterfalls and quaint towns. Four hour drive southwards over rolling hills and coffee plantations to the PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY, one of the major wildlife reserves in India. The park surrounds a large, many-fingered lake and a dawn or dusk foray on one of the boats will be a thrilling experience. It is from the lake rather than vehicles that the wildlife is viewed. The sanctuary is rich in bird life. Great hornbills, kites, darters, herons, egrets, owls and kingfishers are in abundance. After your  lunch.Visit spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee, tea estates etc. Visit and elephant farm and spend time with the elephants. Watch elephant feeding and bathing and also take part in these activities. Enjoy an elephant ride.on your way back to the hotel, you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Finally move towards to Hotel for stay.

Day 4 Periyar - Alleppey

Morning breakfast check out from the hotel and depart from Periyar to Alleppey.  Alleppey is famous for its innumerable rivers crisscrossing the Sea and it's the home for many canals, backwaters, beaches, and lagoons. The backwaters coupled with houseboats and the tropical village life makes Alleppey a must visit place. On arrival check into the houseboat and experience the visual treat of endless paddy fields, mesmerizing backwaters, spotless villages, lined coconut trees and the great Vembanadu Lake.

Day 5 Alleppey - Kovalam

check out the houseboat and visit to Kovalam  the cute little coastal town in the capital city of Trivandrum. Get into your beach look and head out for the crescent shaped beaches, coconut grooves that run along them and the mossy rocks that make their way into the waves. You can beach-hop from the Main Beach to Hawa Beach and to the other many beaches all day. Kovalam also offers a variety of water sports like snorkeling, surfing, etc. Then you Drop by at the Halcyon Castle a museum to visit the forward to visit the light house to catch the spectacular view of the sea and the city. Night Stay at Kovalam.

Day 5 Kovalam & Trivandrum Drop

After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing. Evenng drop at Trivandrum Airport / Railway station and proceed for your onward journey.
